Up Poster
This past weekend, I was part of the public that contributed to the $68.1 million box office total for Disney/Pixar’s latest movie, Up!
Now the movie experience started out wonderfully with trailer after trailer that appealed to my 7 year old son, and was so addictive that he is already quoting one of the movies shown. It appears to me that I will also be dropping money in order to take him to see movie with the quote that will be on the lips of all children ages 3-8.. poop in his hand! Another Disney movie that will be a hit among the children…
Then before the movie starts, we must continue with the Pixar tradition of the animated short at the beginning of the movies. Sometimes, I like the short better than the movie and this one did not disappoint. I laughed until I cried. It is a shame how they treated that stork! Po lil stork stork! (excuse the Katt Williams reference) The creativity amazed me! I wish it was that easy to have a child!
Now… we finally began with the movie. The only thing I knew about the movie before going to see it was that the guy sold balloons and tied them to his house to float away. Everything else was new to me. I laughed so much in the movie. Squirell! *pauses and continues back* (you will get it if you saw the movie lol)
Ed Asner did a wonderful job as the grumpy old man who goes on an adventure that he has put off for years due to life. Accompanied by a scout that only wants to help, we are taken on an aventure to South America where the duo gain new friends and new trials. Commonsensemedia.org recommends this movie for ages 6+. All movies need a villian and this one does not disappoint. This one goes after the duo and seeks their death.
Now I won’t give any more information, but I do have to say, this movie was better than I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would even go see it again. The theater I went to only had the 2D version, and I was not upset with the quality.
I was upset by the crying babies though!
